“Louisa’s Loft” starts from CHF 110 per night, “Louisa’s Gallery” from CHF 130, and the whole house (both apartments together, up to 11 guests) from CHF 280. On top of that come the final cleaning and the tourist tax (CHF 3 per person per night). The exact price depends on your dates and the number of guests and is shown live in the booking window.

Yes, in both apartments! “Louisa’s Loft” has a private outdoor hot tub overlooking the Schafberg for up to around 3 people, and “Louisa’s Gallery” has a large outdoor hot tub for up to 5 people. The perfect spot to unwind after a day in the mountains and enjoy the starry sky.

Yes, we’re dog-friendly, and our own dog Lou warmly welcomes your four-legged friend. For dogs we charge CHF 40 in Louisa’s Loft and CHF 50 in Louisa’s Gallery (per dog and stay), which includes a blanket, a bowl and a little welcome. Just let us know when you book, and everything will be ready for you.

Absolutely, “Louisa’s Loft” is family-friendly, offering around 85 m² with two bedrooms plus a sofa bed, sleeping up to 5 guests. “Louisa’s Gallery” sleeps up to 6 guests, and for larger groups you can book both apartments together (up to 11 guests). A cot and a high chair are available on request, just let us know when you book. The ski school and kids’ paradise are only 200 m away. And for play and fun in any weather, there is a play corner for children, a foosball table (Töggelikasten) and table tennis, plus board games and books.

Yes, free parking is available right on site, so you can arrive comfortably by car. If you’d rather come without one: Alt St. Johann is also easy to reach by public transport, and with your guest card you travel for free.

We’re at Hauptstrasse 36 in 9656 Alt St. Johann in the Toggenburg (Canton St. Gallen), about 1 hour from Zurich and around 1.5 hours from Zurich Airport, easily reached by car (free parking on site) or by public transport. This is “hidden Switzerland”: like Appenzell, only quieter and without the crowds.

The cross-country trail starts just 10 m from the door, the ski school and kids’ paradise are 200 m away, and the Selamatt/Chäserrugg valley station is only 300 m away. Ideal for a hassle-free ski day, straight onto the slopes in the morning and a quick trip home at lunchtime.

The Toggenburg is a hiker’s paradise. Around us you’ll find the Chäserrugg (cable car from Unterwasser, summit restaurant by Herzog & de Meuron), the Churfirsten, the Alpstein area and Säntis, the mountain lakes Schwendisee and Gräppelensee, the Klangweg sound trail of Klangwelt Toggenburg, the Thur waterfalls and the Saxerlücke. For a day trip, the Rhine Falls are also reachable in around 1 hour.
